Summit ADHD Center
Summer Treatment Program (STP)

Are you looking for something more than medication to help improve your child's behavior? Summit Educational Resources offers an award-winning, comprehensive, six-week Summer Treatment Program (STP) for children with ADHD and related behavioral, emotional, and learning problems who are entering grades 1 - 10.

The Summer Treatment Program (STP), founded in 1980 by William E. Pelham, Jr., Ph.D., was formerly operated in Buffalo by the Center for Children and Families at the University at Buffalo.  The STP was acquired by Summit Educational Resources in 2010 and provides a structured but camp-like environment for children.  The STP has a proven track record of effective treatment for more than 2,500 children and families. Based on its excellence in providing treatment for children with ADHD, the STP has been featured on national television news and in national magazines. The STP has also been:

  • used in clinical trials conducted under the auspices of the National Institute of Mental Health
  • named a Model Program in Child and Family Mental Health by the American Psychological Association and SAMHSA
  • named a program of the year by CHADD, the national parent advocacy group for children with ADHD
  • listed in SAMHSA's National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices.

The Summer 2012 Program will begin July 2 and continue through August 10!  It takes place at Smallwood Elementary School, 300 Smallwood Drive, Amherst, NY.  The camp day runs from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
